Social Media Intern


Love Facebook? Loyal Blogger? Instagram junkie? Fascinated by Twitter? Do you love social media and practically live online? Great! 

Women at Werk is seeking a motivated social media/corporate blogging intern with great writing skills, an outgoing personality, sound judgment, confidence and a strong passion for social media for casual 12 hours (flexible) per week to start asap. As a social media Intern, you should have excellent multitasking skills to handle all of our social media accounts in a cohesive way. 

This internship is UNPAID. For school credit (preferred). 

The right candidate must be on top of new social media trends and will help come up with a comprehensive social media strategy as well as update these accounts on a daily basis. Strong writing skills are mandatory and photography, Photoshop (and graphic design skills are a big plus. You will develop Facebook pages, Twitter posts and create blog posts to communicate news, conference announcements, provide insights on industry trends and issues, commentary on news coverage and contribute to an open dialog with consumers. You will utilize the most current social networking tools and applications to friend new people. 

This is a great opportunity to become an expert in social media and give you the opportunity to take part in the social progression of a growing brand and gain first hand-experience that will become a tool for future success in various industries.

The social media intern will: 

- Help Women at Werk staff create a long-term and sustainable social media strategy
- With assistance of Women at Werk staff, create and program all Women at Werk social messages through Hootsuite. 
- Research and gather Digital Marketing industry news for dissemination
- Promote Women at Werk Digital Marketing Conferences through social media
- If possible, create and edit graphics, photos and videos for Women at Werk social media
- Coordinate with staff to support Social Media campaign/marketing goals and objectives
- Assist with all other aspects in PR/Communications
- Working to develop new project ideas
- Updating social media sites
- Extensive research and creative writing
- Uploading pics in to social media
- Monitoring stats
- Research new forms of social media for brand awareness
- Building new followers
- Have a keen understanding of social media nuances and be well-versed in social media engagement and best practices. 
- Produce innovative content for a variety of social media communities. 
- Manage day-to-day engagement and content for wide array of social communities (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.)


- Background in marketing/communications
- Social media savvy (Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Linkedin) 
- Organization and creativity
- Strong communication skills
- A personal laptop for remote work is required
- Prior PR or Social Media internship experience is ideal. 
- Available 12 hours per week

Digital Marketing Intern

Looking for a digital marketing intern to help with marketing. Remote part-time position.

- Social Media Marketing: optimize, maintain, monitor and lead the platforms and any marketing strategies carried out in them: Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, YouTube, Pinterest, Mixcloud, Soundcloud, Google+, Flickr, etc.
- Content creation and management: content marketing
- Interaction with users: community engagement
- Social commerce: leads, calls to action and conversions in social media
- Monitoring: online media, information sources and social channels
- Measurements and follow-up: determining the ROI of the work carried out, justifying the quality of the actions taken and, of course, the results thereof
- Fan building: based on achieving specific ROI objectives
- Contests and campaigns: creative input, development, starting up and monitoring
- Qualitative aspects: Sentiment reports, strengths, scope, virality, passion and effects for the brand online
- SEO: website, blog and social platform (social search) optimization, aimed at improving search results
- Keyword optimization and improvement in new SEO/SEM opportunities
- Email marketing: development, creative input, running, results and campaigns
- Database: creation, management and maintenance of the database, making it larger and more streamlined
- Website: content optimization and stimulation, improvements within the website structure: functionality, usability, navigation by users. Developing and launching a mobile version. Promoting, marketing and communicating all the website’s contents
- Measurements, monitoring and follow-up of results
- Coordination and management of press and communication tasks: contents, interviews, website news, exclusive acts, etc.
- Video-marketing: optimisation, search, keywords, sponsored videos, marketing
- E-Commerce: creation and generation of online sales opportunities
- Reports: online sales, online positioning, online reputation, online results
- Community: leading online communities, brand representation in different forums and communities
- Online branding: searching, identifying and improving all brand-related aspects in social media
- Adviser: playing a brand consulting/advising role with regard to the online environment: opportunities, threats, new initiatives, development of digital identity and online presence, identification of potential business and new digital transactions

- Provide links to 1-3 profiles to demonstrate interest and knowledge
- Possesses skills in writing, presentation, interpersonal relations, and customer management
- Performs well in environment that values creativity, flexibility, and variety
- Exhibits personal qualities, such as open-mindedness, enthusiasm, and adaptability
- Prefers challenges, fast pace, new ideas, future focus, and unstructured environment

Blog Contributor

We are seeking skilled and energetic interns from diverse backgrounds and experiences. If you can answer yes to ALL of these questions, this internship is for you. Are you obsessed with writing? Do you love sharing your opinion? Do you enjoy keeping up with all things trending? 

In addition to the above, the ideal candidate is a self-starter, organized, detail-oriented and enthusiastic about social media, the internet, news and all things related to female-driven issues. 

Compensation is negotiable.

Women at Werk is committed to ensuring that the internship is challenging, informative and educational. Upon successful completion of the internship, you may include Women at Werk on your resume and as a reference for any future job. This is a non-paying internship.

Our journalist/bloggers/writers are required to submit one original article or interview a week on either a local or national level. Interns may also be required to attend special event, expos, festivals, conferences or press conference on behalf of our outlet. Request to attend an event on our behalf are exclusive to our online publication. Articles must be of a positive nature.

Journalist must have 2 interview articles every two months this is a must if writer can't complete task internship will be terminated. It must be at least one high profile local celebrity and/or one person that has a creative movement on the rise. 

Interns are responsible for fact-checking, proofreading, research, and occasional writing for our online magazine. Candidates should exhibit strong grammar and writing skills and have previous professional experience (preferably at a newspaper/magazine). 

No former experience needed. College students preferred. A major in journalism or English is ideal. 



We are currently planning the final details for our annual Women at Werk Empowerment Conference. We are studying our marketing strategies and shooting a commercial is one of them. The actual conference is January 12, 2019. We would like to shoot a 30 second commercial that we will be sending to Comcast spotlight to be featured.

Looking for someone highly motivated and creative individual with a good eye for what captures the imagination. Able to shoot quality promo photos and music videos as well as doing some art direction and production. This position could allow the right individual to become an integral part of the company. Must also be a team player.

Our projected run dates for this commercial: November 26th-January 11th.
We would like to shoot this commercial between 10/22-10/28 whichever date is available for the videographer.
We prefer to work with someone who is trying to build there portfolio.

Compensation is determined per project.

- Assist in all aspects of video and photographic communications and contribute to planning and storyboarding
- Assist in the end-to-end process from storyboarding to logistics to shooting to editing and publishing
- Film video and shoot photographs in studio and field environments
- Record desktop computer screens and actions for demo and training videos
- Use existing original and stock footage to produce new videos
- Contribute to mixing and editing to create polished and engaging videos
- Publish videos primarily to the web and touch-up still photography

- Have the potential to deliver videos and photos that succinctly and clearly tell the desired story
- Ability to deliver videos with cuts, graphics, sound and other elements that convey a quality production value and a level of technical sophistication
- Experience with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Captivate and Adobe Photoshop
- Knowledge of digital videography and photography cameras and equipment
