Brenda S. Bellard-Harris

Brenda is a well-established manager who currently owns and operates BBH Consulting Group, LLC. She has more than 40 years of Bank Management experience and has a proven track record for outstanding production in her field. She has held varies Management positions in the banking industry before retiring in 2003, as a Vice President and Market Area Manager, Wells Fargo Bank, California. Brenda has continued to manage projects through volunteerism, since her retirement. Her main focus has been managing/overseeing projects as requested and establishing/implementing training and mentoring programs.

Although she spent numerous years in the banking industry, many of the boards and professional organizations she participated in, over the years, have also brought a myriad of additional experiences. She is considered an expert in Banking/ Finance, as well as, Management but also bring with this experience, a wealth of knowledge in project management.

Some of Brenda's management responsibilities, as a banker, included but were not limited to the following: Managing 20 Branch Managers and their staff for a total of 562 employees to complete the following task: The overall daily operation of each branch location, Customer Service, Sales/Business Development, Human Resource Management, Risk Management, Time Management, Audits, Budgets, Training and Development, Consumer Lending, Commercial Lending and Community Development. 

Several other positions held during Brenda's career also prepared her for her current position as a Business Consultant. To name a few, Operations Analyst, a position with the responsibility for program/document design, procedure writing, preparation and actual presentations via power point and written documentation to senior management and implementation of said project objectives, as outlined to management.  Brenda was also a recruiter and secondary panel interviewer for several Branch Management training programs i.e.: Operations Management, Consumer Management, and Commercial Management, all of which she has personally completed, as well.

Brenda has also participated as a Project Manager in other areas of the bank, including the Trust Division, Central Cash Vault, Telephone Banking and Operation Administration. She has also trained personnel in the areas of Computer Literacy, District Trainer for loss prevention (Risk Management Expert) and piloted the first ever In-Store banking units in the Western United States (First Interstate Bank).

Education: Brenda attended Kentucky State University, P. Stevens Career College in Los Angeles, San Francisco State University as well as the University of Phoenix, She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration. She also holds a life learning MBA from Glendale University, a diploma in Public Relations and is a certified Operations Analyst. Brenda has also met numerous other professional training objectives. She has completed International Bank Management Training, Personal Management Training through a twenty-six (26) week program called Living Waters, and is a CORO Fellow, (CORO, Southern California), which is another 26-week program for Neighborhood Leadership Development. Brenda has also participated in other Conferences, Seminars and Workshops for continuing education in the field of Management. They include, Managing People Conference, a Leadership Conference, a Work Measurement / Time Management Seminar, a Managing in a Multicultural Workforce Seminar, a Financial Management for the Closely Held Business Seminar, a Managing a Sales Force Seminar, and a (3) three series Human Relations Workshop.

Brenda has also enjoyed a number of professional clubs and organizations. Some of her favorites are, Board member for The Boys and Girls Club of America, Boys 2 Men Group Home, a literacy based home for incarcerated youth, Chocolate Keepsakes, a children's bookstore and storyteller organization, W.I.N.T.E.R., a battered women’s group, member of the Soroptimist club, Rotary Club, Chairperson, Officers Network (First Interstate Bank,) Los Angeles Metro Diversity Council member, Volunteer Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Los Angeles Chapter, Junior Achievement Coordinator, active member of United Negro College Fund's Annual Fund- raising Drive, Los Angeles, and lastly, CFO of Meditation Missionary Baptist Church. Brenda has also served as a mentor for many young employees at First Interstate Bank and Well Fargo Bank.

Committee Advisor to Los Angeles Unified School District and The Los Angeles Times Newspaper to explore and develop a Basic Banking Curriculum for middle school students as part of their math requirements. Co-Chair of the Inauguration Activities for the 28th and First Female President of Edward Waters College, Jacksonville, Florida. (2007) Co-Chair, Inauguration for President Donna Oliver, Mississippi Valley State University (Itta Bena, Mississippi, 2009), Chairman for 3 years for the EWC and the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra’s Annual concert, Creator and Chair for 2 years of The EWC Queen’s Tea, Chair 2010 Homecoming/Miss EWC Coronation, Author and teacher of a Professionalism Workshop, Authored and implemented the ACT Mentoring Program, which was piloted at Eugene J. Butler Middle School in Jacksonville. Betty Burney, former, Duval County School Board member, The Jacksonville Children’s Commission and The New Town Success Zone were supporters for this project.  Brenda has also served as a Classroom Volunteer, FCAT Training. William Raines High School.

Most Recently, Brenda has retired a second time from Banking. She was Vice President and Branch manager of SunTrust Bank (04/2012/04/2015) and again from 9/15/2016-to Present. She is currently the SAC Chair for YMLA & YWLA @ Eugene J. Butler and serves as Treasurer for the Board of Directors of The Ritz Theatre and Museum, Inc. Brenda has also served on the Boundary Change Committee for Duval County Schools and The Mayors Transition Team in the area of Education.(for former Mayor Alvin Brown).

Brenda has also had the privilege of coordinating many Weddings and Fashion Shows when time permits. She is currently a member of Simpson Memorial United Methodist Church, where she occasionally teaches etiquette classes on alternating Saturdays and audits their books each year. (Last 4 Years).
